Tim knew his dream of travelling to space was a pretty lofty one. NASA's criteria did everything to exclude him from candidacy for the space program. At age 55, he was lightyears too old, his blood pressure was out of this world, he was much too tall (measuring a stratospheric 7 feet 2 inches), and, to top it off, he had terrible vision (he couldn't tell a Quasar from a Red Dwarf).
