188 - Bailey at the Museum - children's book review

Bailey at the Museum was written and illustrated by Harry Bliss. It was published by Scholastic Press in 2012.

Bailey, the dog, is super excited since he and his classmates are going to the museum. At the museum Bailey, gets in trouble. After that he has the security guard follow him for the rest of the story.

Bailey seems to be a series. Who knows which book this one is but I don’t know anything about Bailey’s history from this book. Why does he belong to this classroom and why is he allowed to tag along with the human children?

The book is quite large so some of the two paged illustrations will impress the readers. There are quite a few speech bubbles as well as the text that describes things.

I have no idea why the security guard lets Bailey stay in the museum. Wouldn’t any visitor that jumps on the bones of a dinosaur get thrown out?

Bailey, the dog, is mischievous character. The book itself doesn’t really have any point. I’m guessing the book is supposed to be about friendship... but it would have been nice to have a more interesting theme or more dramatic mischief done by Bailey...
