Write-up 1 -- What the hell... (1/15/12)

My webpage is looking a bit dry so it might be a good idea to start writing a blog.

But, do I really want to disclose information about myself and what goes on in my puny brain? Well, why not.

You've got to wonder why people write blogs. According to Wikipedia, there are over 156 millions blogs at the moment… how they counted each one is a wonder to me. So a lot of people are writing blogs and for what point?

Case one… the preacher. Someone who wants to spread their ideas/beliefs. Some people believe that they can influence others with their "powerful" words. This all sounds a little bit "cultish" in my opinion.

Case two… the enthusiast. Most people in this world have hobbies and some people have a hobby. What better way to kill more time with your hobby/hobbies than to start a blog. Who knows? Friends might be found somewhere in this overpopulated world.

Case three… the lonely soul. I just finished reading a Murakami Haruki short story called "The Widow" - . It's a story about a young man who fixes people's stories or journals as a part-time job while finishing university. The main character concludes that most people who take advantage of this service are… how can I say this politely… in need of some form of human contact. I suppose this would be another reason for starting a blog.

Case four… the money maker. What better way to promote your stuff (whatever that might be) than to start a blog.

So in my case, which one fits my character the most?

I’m too much of pessimist to be a preacher. A new school of preacher?

I love promoting my drawings… but I have a feeling I won't be bullshitting too much about my stuff on the blog.

Am I lonely? I did stay at home for the most part of today. Maybe I need someone to listen to me. Hello! Hello! Mmm… no one's speaking back.

Money would be nice… but that's not my reason for starting a blog (at least, that's what I'm telling myself).

I guess there are no conclusions to this write up...
