Wild Boars Cook was published in 2008 by Henry Holt and Company. It was written by Meg Rosoff and illustrated by Sophie Blackall.
There are four wild boars and they are all naughty. One day they decide to make a massive pudding. The end.
Wild Boars Cook is more about the process of making the pudding. The story is very simple when you think about it...
There are some nice adjectives used in this story such as “delightful”, “divine”, “messiest”, “gooiest”, “massive”... etc. I’m sure all of these words are good for the vocabulary of children.
The illustrations of the boars are well done. They seem mischievous enough from the looks of their eyes.
It seems like there is another Wild Boar story. I’m curious to see what it’s like.
