Who am I?

BORING BIO

Bonjour?

Born in Vancouver Canada in October 1977 (getting’ old)

Education - Graduated from high school in Vancouver. Attended Douglas College for a few years (music). Attended UBC after that for a few years (music). Got a Bachelor of Music degree (main focus was trombone performance).

Taught English in Japan for 9 years in Hokkaido (mainly Sapporo - sometimes in Asahikawa & Hakodate). Spent a lot of time drinking shochu in a jazz bar close to my apartment. Got to learn how to converse in Japanese at these kind of places.

Have travelled all over Japan and passed JLPT 2nd Level (failed JLPT 1st Level a few times because it’s ridiculously hard).

Don’t really play the trombone anymore but enjoy butchering through the “classical” piano repetoire or playing it in a way that it was supposed to be played…

I like illustrating to improve my imagination. I think my style is kind of “pop art” to a certain degree (a lot of improvising and doing whatever my brain can think of at that moment). Maybe I should take a course and learn a bit more…

Hmm… whatelse. Maybe I’ll add whatever when I think of something…

Thanks for reading.
